Publix carries a variety of Georgia produce, well beyond those famous Georgia peaches and pecans. We have sweet Vidalia onions, watermelons, blueberries, greens, okra, beans, and more. The mild winter and long, slow growing season mean that fruits and vegetables are available for much longer stretches of time in Georgia than in other parts of the country. Here are just a few of the Georgia growers we work with:
Since 1908, Lane Southern Orchards has been dedicated to planting, growing, and harvesting the best-tasting peaches in Georgia. Their farm is in the heart of Peach County—2,500 acres dedicated to sweet Georgia peaches.
John Shuman and his family have been growing Vidalia sweet onions for over 25 years. Today, their family grows hundreds of acres of the onions in the sandy, loamy soil near Reidsville, Georgia.
