The Carolinas

Together, North and South Carolina offer a delicious variety of produce—from beets to blackberries, and cabbage to corn. A few of our growers are highlighted below.

Flavor 1st Growers & Packers

The Flavor 1st family roots run deeply in the produce industry, dating to 1798, when James Noble Johnson began farming in Buncombe County, North Carolina. Seven generations later, his descendants continue to grow, pack, and ship produce as Flavor 1st Growers & Packers.

Bailey Farms

When Randy Bailey fell in love with spicy Mexican food at a young age, he decided what he wanted to grow on his dad’s farm: chile peppers. Now, 25 years later, Bailey Farms has made quite a name for itself in the specialty pepper business, offering a tremendous number of varieties.
