Tandoori-Style Grilled Halibut

1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 tablespoon minced garlic
4 fresh GreenWise halibut fillets (about 20 oz)
Cooking spray
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, finely chopped


  1. Preheat grill (or grill pan) on medium. Combine yogurt, curry powder, and garlic (reserving 1/2 cup). Coat fillets in yogurt mixture (wash hands); marinate 10 minutes (or up to 1 hour).
  2. Coat fillets in spray and sprinkle with salt. Grill 3–4 minutes on each side or until grill-marked and fish is opaque. Serve with reserved yogurt mixture and cilantro.
Note: Always check fish for bones and cook to an internal temperature of 145°F.

Other Preparation Methods

  • Sauté: Preheat large sauté pan on medium-high. Season 4 halibut fillets with salt and pepper (wash hands). Place 1 tablespoon oil in pan, then add fish; cook 3–4 minutes on each side or until opaque and separates easily. Add 10 oz lemon-dill finishing sauce to fish; heat until warm.
  • Broil: Preheat oven to broil. Brush 4 halibut fillets lightly with olive oil; season with 1 tablespoon garlic-herb seasoning. Coat baking sheet with oil; place fish on baking sheet and broil 4–5 minutes or until opaque and separates easily.
