Plum-Basil Sparkler

Plum-Basil Sparkler

1 ripe plum
5 large basil leaves
2 oz gin
1 oz simple syrup
4–6 oz club soda
Lime, optional for garnish


  1. Pit plum, then dice 1/2 plum. Slice lime. Muddle diced plum and basil in cocktail shaker.
  2. Add ice, gin, and simple syrup. Shake well; strain into an ice-filled Collins glass.
  3. Top with club soda. Garnish with remaining 1/2 plum and lime if desired.
