Parisian Ham Sandwiches

1 loaf Publix Bakery French bread
4 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup fig jam, divided
12 oz sliced cooked ham
4 oz Brie cheese, cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices
1/2 cup (loosely packed) baby arugula leaves


  1. Slice bread in half lengthwise, cutting about 3/4 of the way through. Coat cut sides of bread with oil; season with salt and pepper.
  2. Spread fig jam over oil, then layer ham, Brie, and arugula on bottom half of the bread. Fold top half of the bread over toppings and slice into 4 equal sandwiches.

Other Preparation Methods

  • Crostini: Spread garlic-herb butter on top and bottom of French bread slices, then top each with sliced mozzarella and pepperoni. Bake at 400°F until lightly browned and crispy.
