Ingredients

1 1/2 lb ground beef
2 eggs
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
1 cup tomato sauce

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine ground beef, eggs, chopped onion, Italian seasoning, and bread crumbs in medium bowl and mix until well blended; place in loaf pan.
  2. Bake 35-40 minutes or until beef is 160°F. Remove from oven and top with tomato sauce.

Other Preparation Methods

Sauté: Preheat large sautépan on medium-high. Place 1 lb ground beef, 1 tablespoon chopped garlic, and 1/2 cup chopped onion in pan. Cook 5-7 minutes or until ground beef is 160°F. Stir in 1 cup marinara sauce; cook 2-3 minutes or until hot. Serve over pasta.

Grill: Form 1 1/2 lb ground beef into 4 patties. Season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Grill 3-5 minutes on each side or until beef is 160ºF.
