3 green onions, coarsely chopped
1 shallot, coarsely chopped
1 orange, for juice
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
Large zip-top bag
1 pork tenderloin (about 1 lb)


  1. Chop onions and shallot. Squeeze orange for juice (about 1/2 cup); place in food processor bowl. Add all ingredients (except pork); pulse until puréed. Place pork and spice mixture in bag and seal tightly; knead bag to coat pork. Chill 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours) to marinate.
  2. Preheat grill (or grill pan) on medium. Place pork on grill (discarding marinade); grill 12–15 minutes, turning occasionally, or until pork is 145°F. Let pork stand 5 minutes; slice and serve.
