Ingredients

1 1/2 lb ground turkey breast
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 slices American cheese (3 oz)
4 hamburger buns

Steps

  1. Preheat grill (or grill pan). Combine in medium bowl: ground turkey, seasoning and Worcestershire mixing well. Form into four 1/2-inch-thick patties and place on grill.
  2. Grill 4–6 minutes on each side and until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Top each patty with a slice of cheese. Serve on hamburger buns.

Other Preparation Methods

  • Sauté: Preheat 1 tablespoon oil in large sauté pan. Add ground turkey, 1 tablespoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper, and 1 cup diced tomatoes. Cook 7–9 minutes or until 165°F. Serve over white rice.
  • Slow cook: Combine in slow cooker pot: ground turkey, 10 oz can cream of chicken soup, 1 cup water, 1 small onion chopped, 1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms, 1/4 cup diced pimiento, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, and 2 cups broken uncooked spaghetti; stir to combine. Cook 3–4 hours on low.
