Fig and Brie on Pear Crostini

3 medium, ripe pears
Nonstick aluminum foil
4 medium, fresh figs
8 oz Deli French Brie cheese
1/2 cup honey
1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1/2 cup arugula leaves


  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Slice pears into 1/4-inch-thick circles, then in half. Arrange pears on foil-lined baking sheet. Remove stems from figs, then slice.
  2. Cut Brie into 1/4-inch-thick slices, about 2 inches long. Top pears with cheese and fig slices; bake 3–4 minutes or until Brie has melted slightly.
  3. Whisk honey and black pepper. Arrange pear crostini on platter; top each with an arugula leaf and drizzle with peppered honey.

Other Preparation Methods

  • Broil: Toast thick slice of bread; brush with butter and maple syrup. Top with 2 slices of Brie; place under broiler to melt.
  • Pasta Salad: Combine 4 cups cooked small-shell pasta, 1 cup diced Brie, 1 cup each chopped pecans and apples, and 1/2 cup lemon poppy seed dressing.
