Cooking spray
1 (15.25-oz) package yellow cake mix
1/2 cup canola oil
3 large eggs (or 3/4 cup egg substitute)
1 cup eggnog (plus more if desired)
3 tablespoons spiced liqueur (rum, bourbon, or 1 teaspoon rum extract)
Powdered sugar (for dusting)


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat large bundt pan with cooking spray.
  2. Prepare cake following package instructions using oil, eggs, 1 cup eggnog, and liqueur (or rum extract). Pour batter into prepared pan.
  3. Bake 38–43 minutes, or until golden and toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool bundt in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool thoroughly.
  4. Dust with powdered sugar before slicing. Pour additional eggnog over slices before serving (if desired).
