Ingredients

1 orange, for zest
7 oz dark chocolate with sea salt, chopped
7 oz intense orange dark chocolate, chopped
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 cup coconut milk

Steps

  1. Zest orange (2 teaspoons). Place both chocolates in large glass bowl. Combine in medium saucepot: butter, heavy cream, coconut milk and orange zest; bring to a simmer over medium (do not boil).
  2. Pour hot cream over chocolate and let sit 10 minutes. Whisk until smooth.
TIPS:
  • Pour over cooled baked tart and smooth evenly; chill tart before slicing and serving (see Salted Caramel Macadamia and Dark Chocolate Tart).
  • Can also be chilled and rolled into truffles.
