Asian Turkey and Green Bean Sauté

12 oz fresh trimmed green beans
1 teaspoon fresh ginger root, grated
1 (10-oz) bag frozen brown rice
1 tablespoon sesame oil
3 oz presliced green onions (1 cup)
1 1/4 lb ground turkey breast (or ground turkey)
3 tablespoons chili sauce with garlic
3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar


  1. Microwave green beans on HIGH for 3 minutes. Peel and grate ginger.
  2. Prepare rice following package instructions. Preheat large sauté pan on medium-high 2–3 minutes. Place oil and onions in pan; cook and stir 1 minute. Add turkey; brown 4–5 minutes, stirring to crumble meat, and until no pink remains.
  3. Reduce heat on meat to low. Stir in chili sauce, hoisin, ginger, and green beans; simmer 2–3 minutes or until sauce thickens and green beans are tender. Stir in soy sauce and vinegar; cook 1 minute. Serve turkey mixture over rice.
